Castletownbere, the largest white fishing port in Ireland is the main town of the Beara Peninsula - a finger like peninsula in the South West Coast of Ireland. Shore Angling can also be enjoyed at the numerous designated sites. The famous Beara Way Walking Route has many short loop routes around Castletownbere, or for the avid walker can be opened up into longer treks. The full route is 125 miles long.
